Rugs sit where life happens: beside the bed, under the dining table and in front of the couch. They catch crumbs, sand from the backyard, pet hair and spills, and the grit that works into the base wears the fibres over time. In older Queenslanders with polished floors, a rug often does the job of a full carpet, so it gets plenty of use.
Our Bulimba booking line arranges on-site rug cleaning with a nearby independent crew. Tell us the rough size in metres, the material if the label shows it, and any stains or smells. We give you an upfront price and book the crew for a time that works for you. Rugs can go on the same booking as your mattresses or couch. If a rug sits under heavy furniture, such as a bed or a dining table, tell us so the crew can plan how to lift it clear and work on the full surface.
- Dry vacuuming on both sides to lift grit
- A colour test before any wet cleaning
- Stain and spot treatment
- Hot water or low-moisture cleaning to suit the fibre
- Fringe cleaning and pile grooming
Wool, synthetic, cotton and shaggy pile rugs each need a slightly different approach, and the crew adjusts the method to suit. Rugs dry sooner when lifted off the floor or draped over a clean surface with a fan nearby. Keep a damp rug off polished timber until the back is dry, so moisture does not mark the floor. Very old, handmade or silk rugs may need a gentler method, so mention them when you call.
Rug cleaning is booked all over Bulimba alongside mattress and couch cleans. Call 07 3543 2093 to get your price and a time.
